In "Madagascar," a group of zoo animals from New York City—Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe—find themselves unexpectedly shipwrecked on the island of Madagascar. As they adjust to the wild and encounter eccentric lemurs, they must learn to survive outside the comfort of their zoo.
