the Byrde family navigates increasing danger while trying to build a casino for the cartel and the local Snell family. The season sees the cartel send lawyer Helen Pierce to oversee the operation, Wendy's increasing involvement in the business and political schemes, and the growing conflicts between the Byrdes and the Snells and their new partnership with the Kansas City mob. By the end of the season, the casino is approved, but the family faces the consequences of their actions.
